HANOI COLLAGE PROJECT
Apart from being the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi is also known as “a land of a millenary culture”. The astounding history of more than 1000 years has offered this land a sense of richness, and diversity in culture. This incessant flow of time intertwines with everything in Hanoi, from architecture, art to cuisine, resulting in a harmonious fusion between tradition and modernity.
An interesting part of the Hanoian culture is reflected through a variety of districts, each of which stands out with its own beauty. For instance, Hoan Kiem district preserves the traditional elegance of the old Hanoi, while Thanh Xuan district represents a dynamic scenery of the modern lifestyle. Together, they contribute to the cultural depth of Hanoi as seen today.
Inspired by the unique charm of every Hanoi district and the passion for conveying a cultural message through graphic designing, this project is launched under the name “Hanoi Collage”. This project involves producing a collection of 12 digital collage artworks about 12 major districts of Hanoi, which are then posted on a Facebook page along with story-telling articles about these districts.
